I think the general concept was to be a Star Trek communicator badge from the TNG era. And more a tech-fashion object as opposed to having to lug around a pocket computer.
I like the concept in theory, as I’ve grown tired of smartphones, (and I contributed to the smartphone’s very design and existence) but execution is flawed/too early.
Better than the AI pin, yes. In general, no. Smartwatches are crippled by manufacturers’ desire for them to be parasitic off a phone. Moreso however, they’re too physically small to have a large enough antenna array to have reliable cell service. Google, LG, Skagen, Apple, Samsung, and more, I’ve tried them all. Mediocre to use, and terrible battery life. OG Galaxy Watch 46mm running Tizen came close though.
