Yep, can confirm that too. But I slept through multiple parts of Dune part 2, so maybe it’s just me.

Haven’t seen Dune part two yet and now there’s the Dune prophecy show. Should I just give up?

Maybe there’s a reason that David Lynch went all the way to one of the later books for adaptation. Everything that comes before it is extremely overwrought and dull.

Lynch didn’t go anywhere beyond rushing to the end of part 2 and contributed to the problem where everyone thinks Dune is “Paul and his cool mom Jessica defeat bad yucky guys” story.

Villeneuve might have botched part 2 by making it too much of a Hollywood flick while also refusing to do any sort of exposition beyond dialogue in a true Villeneuve fashion. Based on interviews he seems to be one of the few people that understand that this story is not finished without Messiah.

Not going to defend the show though. It’s another production where I have no idea who the target audience is. People who like Dune and Kardashians?

It depends. If you are into deep deep political lore in scifi-fantastic worlds, then you are going to LOVE IT.
