That second to last paragraph really got to me. For context Carlin was one of my “life anchors” that got me through depression/drug abuse while I was processing early childhood SA. To me he always seemed like a person who went through some of the same and came out on the other side angry and determined.

But I cannot contest that some people on the conservative spectrum are socially dumb/ignorant/malicious and will use any excuse they find in pop culture to be that way.
