I wonder if anyone will ever make LCD TVs with a backlight resolution as high as the projector. It would be really nice to have the contrast of an OLED without the poor text rendering and the risk of burn in.
Well, they could put a white-ish oled screen behind the lcd and run them at the same resolution, I’ve seen talks about this but don’t remember if it’s in production even. Still, some pixel bleeding is prob expected.
