To me, the image looked manually overpainted on first glance, which is an art style that can be often found in hidden object picture games - so it wasn’t obvious AI art to me, or else I wouldn’t have posted it. The most obvious sign of AI art is weird anatomy (broken hands etc.) and that is used as a horror element in his works, so it can’t be used to spot the images as AI easily - that might be a deliberate choice, after all.
However, I looked closer at the header image for a while. And yeah, the background buildings look a bit too warped to be entirely made by hand.
Why would a building have a curve here? This seems to be some weird projection issue someone wouldn’t just add here.
I think I’ll avoid posting works from this artist in the future. I still don’t believe he’s making these images entirely with AI and he probably uses a mixture of overpainting, generating AI assets and bashing them together, but a lot of the images seem somewhat fishy and the weird texts/logos on a lot of artworks (“Restaurant” here and “Happy Holidays” on one of the buildings in the artwork above) don’t fill me with confidence either.
I’ve hidden the post so it can’t be reached as easily anymore and added a disclaimer to the title.
