Es gibt Leute die monatelang in ihrer Freizeit Leetcode grinden um an einen Job zu kommen, einfach absurd.

Das zieht sich schon lange durch amerikanische Codingcommunities. Da wird von endlos langen Einstellungsrunden, Entlassungswellen und Leetcode-Grind um überhaupt erstmal in eine Firma reinzukommen gesprochen - das sind Extreme, die wir hier in Deutschland so (noch) nicht haben.
Es gab mehrere große Entlassungswellen bei FAANG (Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Netflix, Alphabet), wodurch viele Coder nun arbeitslos sind und Probleme haben, wieder an Arbeit zu kommen.
Während das Medianeinkommen eines Singlehaushalts im Ruhestand bei 1.849 Euro liegt, zählt man erst mit 2.308 Euro zur reicheren Hälfte der erwerbstätigen Alleinlebenden
Ich bin mit Teilzeit (30h) etwas über dieser Summe. Fühlt sich trotzdem nicht reich an, denn es geht auch sehr viel davon (39%) in die Miete. Laut der Statistik sind 40% der Vollzeiterwerbstätigen finanziell schlechter aufgestellt als ich, das ist schon erschreckend. Wenn man nach meinem Bundesland filtert, sind es sogar 68%.
Ich hab für das Jahr 2025 auf jeden Fall eine gute Profession gewählt. Mal sehen ob die Codingbubble hier auch irgendwann platzt, so wie in den USA. Bis dahin genieße ich die Zeit. in der ich noch kein Katzenfutter essen muss, um zu überleben.

I am so happy my local cinema is deep down in a basement without any mobile reception. People try to access Tiktok and just give up.
I run a forum where the first post was started 23 years ago. Although the activity has drastically gone down during recent years, people still occasionally come by. I’m very happy I kept it up, even though a lot of people switched over to a Discord server.
Recently we had an incident where the sole admin of the Discord server was banned and the whole Discord had to be abandoned and created from scratch. People still keep using this trash! I’m not arguing with them, I’ll just keep an alternative up. One day, when Discord really enshittifies itself to a point where it becomes unuseable, people will be happy for my stubborness. I hope.

Just copy C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/ to /home/yourname/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/ and Steam will recognize those games are already present when you try to download them.
