To restore the balance, I now exchanged the yellowed sensor from the sun-exposed south side balcony with the one from the shadowy north side garden.
Should keep it more even in the long run.

Largely uninteresting bonus observation:
After re-enabling all sensors, something was odd for channel two of the weather station’s three channels.
Through try and error I could determine that the station latched on not to my sensor, but to a foreign one, probably belonging to one of the neighbours.
It seems to be placed outside somewhere, but at a slightly warmer (but unknown) location compared to my own sensors.
