Positive news. Once UA joins, it will quite possibly rapidly outpace HU’s economy anyway, and will eventually be a huge boon for the EU economy and for its security.

HU isn’t the only hurdle though… there’s also that annoying war of aggression launched by its authoritarian revanchist neighbour, and ongoing reforms.

Once the dust settles and UA has joined, it might even give ordinary neighbouring russians hope of one day seeing real change in their own country (a terrifying thought for some, I’m sure).
