When Google Assistant first launched it couldn’t do anything, not even basic arithmetic, without App & Search History enabled in you Google account. So I never used it and now I forget it exists.
It was a massive downgrade from Google Now. I still miss that, although it was only ever so good because of all the invasive data they collected on us.
I now keep it disabled 👍 sadly my headphones say “Google Assistant is not connected” if I touch them wrong but I’m fine living with that
