    i understand why people came up with most of these except for ice cream spoon and soda spoon

      Soda spoon is probably from a time when you had to mix the sugar.

      And have you never seen a person eat ice with a spoon?

      How would you eat a banana split without a spoon?

          I’d eat it with the soda spoon. It’s smaller so you got more ice cream

          Ice cream spoon is closer to a tiny shovel (note the flat part)

          This allows you to slice through the soft ice cream and eat it easily

          Yes, a regular spoon also works, but these spoons all go back literal centuries so…
