Apologies if this is a simple question and I’ve missed something, but I’d like to be able to use Voyager on my PC.
If I just log in on my browser, I only get logged in to my home instance. If I use wefwef.app, I can browse like I’m on my phone, but without my preferences and block list.
Is there a way to use Voyager and sync my preferences, block list, subscriptions etc?
Maybe it is just me, but it is unclear what functionality you are missing. Do you want to browse any instance without an account¿? Or do you want to set multiple instances where you have not logged in(i.e set as guest) as and switch between them¿?
Either way, check the settings on the voyager website and ensure that you are running the latest version.
I want to be able to browse All without having to see the communities that I’ve already blocked. That’s the main one. If I change my preferences, like whether to see votes or not, I want that to sync with my phone app so that I don’t have to change it separately on multiple devices.
The preferences are not as important, but I’ve got a massive block list that I’ve built up since I joined Lemmy, so I don’t want to have to manually sync it.
Once you login(using vger.app or wefwef.app) I think the block list will be synced as that is stored with your lemmy account by your instance. Your prefrences(showing votes, theming, etc.) won’t sync and as far as I know that is by design as all this is stored locally on your device and not on some server operated by the dev
That’s odd. Last time I logged in through wefwef.app, my block list didn’t sync. I’ve just tried again and it has. Same when I log in through vger.app.
Not sure what happened there, but it’s working now. Thanks for the help :)
