This is a video from the Tuttle Twins, a children’s book series turned into a cartoon which was explicitly made by libertarians to combat socialist ideas.
This video claims that Cuba is poor merely because of supposedly paying everybody the same regardless of skills along with other supposed communist policies without even mentioning the decades-long embargo.
The thing I find most “interesting” (if that is the right word) about conservative children’s books, is that normally, a children’s book will use metaphor in order to simplify a complex moral into a form children can understand. They need to use simplified concepts in order to convey a more complex idea so their audience can understand.
Conservative children’s books though, often have a direct 1:1 relation with actual conservative arguments, they don’t “dumb things down” or anything. They use metaphors, sure, but they literally just replace humans with animals or money with candy or something and then deliver the exact same message that they do to their adult audience. Usually using simpler language, but not simpler concepts.
