Oh yeah, it was a movie with an interesting premise that got fast tracked with a half-baked script. I think they expected Robin to carry it but they just didn’t give him anything to work with. It’s literally a movie about a comedian in a farcical situation, but it’s written like a drama, then it gets bogged down in the conspiracy around the voting machines instead of just…having fun with the premise.
Worst part is it’s, it tries to sell you on the premise of a comedian accidentally becoming president, but that’s not actually what happens. He doesn’t actually get to be President, the whole movie takes place before he’s sworn in.
This is almost word for word a joke from Man of the Year. Robin Williams says it right in the trailer.
