That script won’t be done until after shooting starts if we take the show as precedent.
I know this is a joke, but Dan Harmon has been shown to have matured quite a bit as a show runner since working on Rick and Morty. I’d be willing to bet that the same pains the show had with shoots and writing will definitely not be present for the movie.

Nine years ago when the show ended, yeah. But time marches on for all of us who aren’t Inspector Spacetime and Constable Reggie. In fact, writing a script doesn’t even mean it will get optioned or that the actors will be available.
