No eShop? No problem! We’ve had a bit of luck with used games not at “collectable” prices, but we’ve discovered hShop and CFW.

Still have a R4 card as well, and it’s great that he is able to experience some classic games on the original hardware.

With all the news around Yuzu (and Citra) recently, it just reminds me about the importance of “Piracy” in game preservation.

Good to hear that. There’s a lot of really good DS games out there that are fantastic to play on the 3/2DS. I recently played through a FPS for the DS called Moon

      Did you like Moon?

I played it a bit, but I am not a fan of survival horror kinda games 😅

I think it looks pretty good though.

Didn’t it be remastered for the 3DS? Or only Dementium got that treatment?

Honestly I wouldn’t say it’s much of a survival horror. It’s more like a FPS sci-fi adventure. The horror aspect is more so for a setting and to add lore. Think of it kind of like Doom if that makes sense.

I am not too sure. I only played the DS version but I feel like you might be right.

Well, that way makes it more interesting for me!
