The tables have turned for House conservatives.

Six months ago, emboldened by a new GOP majority and armed with new rules designed to rein in government spending, Republican deficit hawks stormed into the 2024 appropriations debate hoping to secure steep cuts and threatening to take on anyone who stood in their way.

When their Speaker, Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), cut one too many spending deals with President Biden, they booted him from power.

But Congress last week wrapped up the 2024 spending battle with bipartisan votes to approve a massive, $1.2 trillion government funding package — and Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) survived the biggest fight of his short, five-month tenure

      I remember…

Biden won his election saying he can work with a Republican Senate.

GA runoffs got donations from all over, even me.

We got both seats for a Dem Senate…

And Biden promptly told us it changes nothing because he can’t even change a democrats mind so it would be pointless to try…

If you’re trying to get people to vote Biden, you should stop mentioning that homie.

How pissed off do Republicans get at other Republicans who work with Democrats? Could agree to give them everything they want and they will refuse because Democrats want it.

If you want people capable of working with others that’s not Republicans.

          So…

Why did Biden say he could work with Republicans?

If you want people capable of working with others that’s not Republicans

After he got a Dem Senate, Biden said he couldn’t work with Democrats…

So, uh, maybe you need to get stricter with you’re requirements than “not republican”.

Because in case you haven’t noticed, when that’s our standards, we end up with a lot of Dems who act like Republicans.

Hell, Biden had to wait over 30 years before the bar was lowered enough after his first presidential primary.

Maybe in another 30 Eric trump will run as a Dem and you’ll be telling people to vote for him because he’s better than Ivanka and she’s running as the Republican…

Personally, I think if we don’t start demanding more, we won’t have elections in 30 years.

Hell yeah, we won’t when we won’t listen to the guy who says he’ll be a dictator on day one, arrest his political rivals and sick the national guard or DOJ on members of the wrong political party. The one arguing in the multiple courts across the country that nobody can be a President if they have to worry about laws…
