How would this community see a restoration of hammer and sickle in Ukraine by Putin’s Russia?
Doubt that’ll happen. The ruling class of Russian federation permits some small nostalgia for the USSR, as it is pretty difficult to disassociate the achievements of Russia from the Soviet Union. Make no mistake though, they’re trying. So while they are forced to tolerate communist imagery within Russia, I don’t see them restoring it outside. Too risky. People might start asking questions.
Of course I could be wrong, as I often am, and they will do it, and try to associate the Soviet era with national pride. There’s been calls to return the red banner as state flag, after all. But generally, I doubt it
Nostalgic nationalism
I don’t think anyone expect that. We expect that to happen in a workers revolution.
At least hammer and sickle has a present in Russia.

True, and it’s a real shame.
The power of white supremacy as represented by NATO is so strong that countries like Ukraine, Poland, etc will side with their western European tormentors rather than even stay neutral.
I know there is a bit of coercion happening underneath but a decent percentage of it is free will.
