“〇〇だったば、…” is this legitimate?
I want to say "If it was 〇〇, then… ", is “〇〇だったば、…” the right clause?

I think you’re looking for だったら
This form varies depending on what the “condition” is in the sentence. It is slightly different for i-adjectives, na-adjectives, nouns and verbs.

I’d use だったなら instead.
