“Sometimes people want to know where I stand politically. I’m just a comedian. Okay? I don’t have an interest in making a political statements. Or statements about how America is overtaxed, overregulated, and over-controlled. I’m just a joke-teller. I tell jokes to try to make you laugh. That’s my job. I like my job. I really do. But I gotta say that it’s true - America is overtaxed, overregulated, and over-controlled.”

“You know what? There is some political thing I am kind curious about. Forward thinking. Not woke. The opposite of extreme left. And definitely not PC. I’m not saying it’s me but libertarianism has some good ideas. For example - let’s say an adult man wants to date a teenage girl but that could result in actively that is technically statutory r…”

Ah look, the ultra divorcee who thought a car that can’t handle water is a sound mass market product thinks that a collectivist matriarchal society that communicates by interpretative dance and murders all dudes after they’ve served their reproductive purpose is somehow not woke.

Ah yes, Jerry Seinfeld saying what he wants in front of a crowd, freely disseminated through TV and the internet is an example of censorship.

Seinfeld: “I want my shitty Pop Tarts movie to make a billion dollars.”

A scoundrel in a George mask that might be me: “I’m gonna torrent it, Jerry.”

      Seinfeld: “Wokeism is killing movies!”

I don’t even know why Seinfeld is taking up the task of dying on this hill, he always had clean standup anyway so I’m not even sure if he was all that impacted. I wonder if it’s still to protect Michael Richards.

But maybe he had some problematic sets that he caught shit for, I don’t know.

It’s just my wild hunch but I think Seinfeld has been mostly a big phony nearly all his life. He clearly has always been a big supporter of Israel. He wasn’t shy to post photos/vids of himself and his family around Jewish military people holding guns. I haven’t paid attention to him at all so maybe I’m all wrong about the timing. But as far as I know - before October 7th - he never directly and unequivocally whined about stuff like wokeism, extreme leftists or PC.

Every form of religion has its cranks. But I’m Jewish and I think there’s a virulent form of Judaism that’s a bit unusual for the US because the person may not really be that religious. The extremist right-wing Jewish person appears normal but has a cult-like bunker mentality. They can suddenly go mask off and it’s clear that anybody with opinion different from them about Israel is an dangerous enemy and perhaps wants to physically harm Jews.

David Mamet became that way. I don’t know when it started. After 9/11 is my hunch. In any case - a few weeks after October 7th Mamet was ranting like a total nutbar about liberalism and “antisemitic” colleges. Maybe Seinfeld is similar.

Playwright David Mamet urges Jews to stop supporting Democrats, sending kids to “antisemitic” colleges | Fox News

    October 24, 2023

The dipshit anchor starts talking to Mamet at ~0:46. After about a minute it’s finally Mamet’s turn to talk. At 1:52 it has taken him seconds to unironically jump to the destruction of the second temple.

Seinfeld is worth about a billion dollars. It doesn’t matter if his Pop Tarts movie is successful or not. Yet it’s weird for him to start right-wing ranting when his movie is about to come out. The movie is released next week. It’s as if he’s put himself in a win-win-win situation. If right-wingers increase box office - he’ll be happy. If the box office is as expected - he’ll be happy. Perhaps the worst box office is best of all. If does badly or flops - he can scream wokeism and antisemitism are responsible.

carlin-pog You have owners. They OWN YOU! … They want more for themselves and less for everyone else. They don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don’t want well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking. They’re not interested in that. That doesn’t help them. That’s against their interests. They don’t want people smart enough to sit around the kitchen table and fugure out how badly they’re getting fucked by a system that threw them overboard 30 fucking years ago. They don’t want that.

Know what they want? Obedient workers. Obedient workers. People who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork and just dumb enough to passively accept all these increasingly shitty jobs with the lower pay, reduced hours, end of benifets, end of overtime, and the vanishing pension that disappears the moment you go to collect it. Now they’re coming after your social security money. You fucking retirement money. They want it back! So they can give it to their criminal friends on Wall Street.
