    The syfy miniseries is the superior version. Superfans of Villeneuve (AKA Dennis Newton) act like they’ve never seen a movie before. I will die on this hill (or dune). Come at me, Harkonnen scum.

      I like Villeneuve because of his grounded, visual storytelling, his ability to get the most out of his actors, and whoever he hires to do cinematography. He’s been my favorite director since I realized he did most of my favorite game of thrones episodes.

      Villeneuve’s dune is my new favorite movie. There was also something special about finishing the book for the first time, then watching P1 and P2 for the first time, all within 3 days.
