UPDATE 5/6/2024: Helldivers fans -- we’ve heard your feedback on the Helldivers 2 account linking update. The May 6 update, which would have required Steam and PlayStation Network account linking for new players and for current players beginning May 30, will not be moving forward. We’re still learning what is best for PC players and your feedback has been invaluable. Thanks again for your continued support of Helldivers 2 and we’ll keep you updated on future plans.
Well, well, well. I see Sony wants to kill all the goodwill their game has garnered with this linking bullshit.
True, but a loved game from a liked company said they had to hold off on the requirement for issues it was having. They never removed the requirement from the purchase page and the game was published by Sony, so I really don’t know what anyone expected.
I reiterate: If folks were required to log in day one we wouldn’t be having any discussion. They were not required to log in day one.
