I’m not sure how credible this is, Carrier Strike Group 2 has a carrier, 3 cruisers and 5 destroyers, that’s 30 CIWSs between them, plus all the anti-missile missiles. I’d want to see some evidence before I believed it.
Inb4 the carrier definitely wasn’t damaged and is going back to the US for “routine” repairs

Do you have references for those? Typically, when I’ve seen their attacks on ships that get intercepted, they claim that the operation fulfilled its objective (i.e. to force them to expend costly munitions to intercept), not that it actually hit the ship. But this time, they specifically claim to have hit it.
