Sure thing. Wasn’t sure what the right CW was, let me know if I should change it.
Also wait there’s another owl here that I didn’t know about?
I haven’t actually played Legend Of The Mystical Ninja, but I have seen it appear near the top of many lists, where not a single one of those lists has done anything to convince me to actually try it.
I like the rankings at snesrankings.com. I disagree to some extent or another with basically all of his takes, but I really appreciate that it’s just one guy who actually played every last one of the things, and it’s not like he’s ever so far off that, if you started playing from #1 down, I’d ever be like “oh no don’t play that play this other game.”
If you need to be a pedantic shit about it, just coin new terms. What Germany did to the Jews was an internal genocide. What Israel is doing to Palestine is a settler colonial genocide. Now we have terminology sufficient to get through a whole miserable book on the subject, and it took a quarter as many words as that spineless equivocating nonsense.

I think there’d still be enough people nostalgic about it to make a LinAmp out of the code, but only if it was under a real open source license.
“slammed”
Games should use smaller textures for smaller objects, but don’t, like, audit that shit, and routinely end up having some of them way over-res anyway.
It’d be nice if Steam and the other stores gave you checkboxes for a game’s localizations and they’d only download/install the ones you actually want.
Of course that’s not the whole problem and games also need to use lower texture sizes for small objects instead of using 4k textures all the time even for a toothbrush prop in the background.
Chiropraxis.
Bright side - If the oceans acidify and the algae stops being able to produce oxygen then the wildfires will stop.
Yeah when I say “real business model” I of course mean “turns something you can own into a subscription service where you rent from an unaccountable landlord.”
But I really think using a data center full of GPUs is important as well, because it’s a thing that the various tech companies can argue they have a competitive advantage (pile of capital) at.
Run really fast like the noble ostrich?
Maybe cloud gaming again. There have been attempts pretty recently, which is a ding against it, but it’s a real business model that at least Microsoft is well-positioned for, and it fulfills the primary goal of being a justification for building data centers and filling them with GPUs.
I’m not very good at predicting these though. When I try to come up with reasons to fill a data center full of GPUs I inevitably fixate on things that might actually be useful to someone, which isn’t the strat.
Adobe managed to suppress the entire field of creative software by buying out every potential future competitor and killing off their product, for decades, until everybody forgot that’s a kind of software you can make.
Maybe he should do something in public.
Seitan is a food you make by extracting just the gluten from wheat, making a dough of that, kneading the hell of of it, then cooking it. It’s 75% protein by mass.
Pure seitan is tough and aggressively bland, but mixing a little of just about anything into the flour fixes both of those. In my opinion, a good seitan recipe has the best texture of any meat.
Transmission being difficult and rare between humans is still possible, and I’d even say likely. Tiny outbreaks of weird crap happen and fizzle out all the time.
The current precautions being taken (ie: fuck all) mean it’s inevitable that eventually one of these incidents will break out and become a pandemic. It’s just not guaranteed to be any specific one.
