“Intel has been aiding and abetting Israel’s apartheid for decades, feeding its war chest, and now it is directly feeding its war chest while it continues its unspeakable genocide against 2.3 million Palestinians in the occupied and besieged Gaza Strip. Intel is complicit in Israel’s genocide and its underlying system of apartheid. Intel’s M.O. seems to be, ‘Make Apartheid Great Again!’”
Please buy another chip. If possible, avoid positive coverage of Intel on social media, including Lemmy. Thank you.
If you want to feel your skin crawl, Linus tech tips did like a series going through the Intel plants in Israel. Obviously he’s super into it and doesn’t care about the genocide but that’s part of what makes your skin crawl.
Everything about Linus makes my skin crawl
When he got hacked, he revealed how nearly every inch of his house is surveilled by cameras lol. On one hand, I get it because fans are weirdos and he has a family. But on the other hand, might as well live in a condo or gated neighborhood if you’re paranoid enough to be comfortable letting strangers see you naked over IP cameras.
This makes my indecision on my next PC much easier.
HP provides IDF various equipment such as workstations, laptops, and servers for their surveillance system.
Edit: On a side note, a few former buddies who’ve gone off the deep end stopped buying Intel chips because Anita Sarkesesian partnered with them or something (I forgor).
I’ve stopped buying Intel chips because it felt like the same chip being released over and over again but with higher price tags and more heat.
I heard AMD also works with Israel on some level. High end Chinese desktop chips and components can’t come quickly enough.
Without revealing too much personal information, I was laid off from Intel a few months ago. They did a huge downsizing in my division and I think it’s gonna fuck up the organization long term At least one of the people on my former team left the company shortly after the layoffs (and thes person had been there almost 10 years) and I expect more will do similarly
I started working there because the technical side of the work seemed interesting, and I didn’t reflect critically enough on their position as a US military contractor as well as a huge supporter of the Zionist entity. The cognitive dissonance started building in my head when they announced a $3b investment in the occupied Palestinian territories for them to open a new chip plant (and this was since the genocide started), which made me very upset. I was getting ready to quit when I got laid off, which ended up being the best outcome because I got severance lol
Anyone have any leads on any tech companies that are actually ethical?
