I was just thinking to myself the other day about how many actually good movies Mark Wahlberg has been in. I could only come up with The Fighter and Boogie Nights. He is a terrible actor that does terrible movies. Good on him I guess for still being so popular.

Also The Other Guys with Will Ferrell. That’s a great movie.

“Mom, can we go see the new Matt Damon film?”

“No we have Matt Damon at home.”

      Picture of Mark Wahlberg

Must have been profitable enough to satisfy the bean counters. I just have a hard time thinking they can make another profitable movie after everyone knows what a pile of shit the first one was.

Budget $120m, box office $407m (according to wiki). There is ZERO chance a second one can even come close to those box office numbers. I think a lot of people were just excited for a movie based on the games. I was one of them, just glad I didn’t pay to see it in theaters, lol.

I watched it with very low expectations. IMO it was more entertaining than Red Notice, which came out at the same time and I guess sold itself as "We have Uncharted at home. "
