    The word “influencer” doesn’t appear in any quotes from party sources or the linked convention material—it’s just editorializing on the part of the Washington Post.

    Is WaPo just inserting the term to discredit non-corporate media?

      They use the term content creator. It’s the same thing. Biden has been open about collaborating with them in the past

        Is it the same thing, though?

        Technically, any independent blogger or YouTuber is a “content creator”. But (at least in my impression of normal usage), an influencer is specifically a content creator trying to leverage their “influence” over the purchasing decisions of their followers.

          Yeah no, “content creator” makes me think like Sam seder or TYT or maybe destiny. “Influencer” is some Instagram model that gets railed in Dubai porta potties.

          Technically, at least in the old school marketing definition, an influencer is just someone who has enough of the public’s attention to wield influence. You don’t have to be actively trying to sell stuff
