I’m thinking it would be part of a franchise. It goes like this:

                    Mordecai’s Adventure (moderate hit)

Mordecai Returns (critically panned but does well on video)

Mordecai Strikes Again (mostly a flop)

Mordecai Goes To The Beach (attempt at reviving the series by taking a big swerve, nobody has faith in the project, does shockingly well)

Mordecai’s Christmas (straight to video, does okay in rentals, fans think it’s an underrated gem)

Mordecai’s School Daze (not great, maybe bring him to the beach again?)

Mordecai Goes To The Beach Again (does very well, people just cannot get enough of him at the beach)

                    Mordecai’s Jailhouse Rock (pretty good)

Mordecai’s Surfin Hawaiian Adventure (an attempt to keep the magic of Mordecai going to the beach without it feeling like a reused concept)
