The translator isn’t wrong, but you were actually pretty close the first time! It’s just that “benutzen” should be “benutzt” because “du” is informal. Also props that you got “dass” right, it’s something even a lot of native speakers struggle with.
Minor nitpick, since that’s probably extra hard for a native english speaker (you rarely use them). There needs to be a comma before a dass with 2 s. Only telling you since you seem motivated to learn.
