    🐸

Freaking amazing as usual! These posts are one of my favorite things about Lemmy.

It looks like your garden is loving life, and the wildlife appears to be loving the garden too! The amaranth is especially beautiful, always a special treat to have around.

You can! I grow it for its looks and for the birds. It’s a huge amount of effort to separate the seeds and they are full of insects.

Maybe one day I’ll grow some patience, or someone can share their effective technique.

People also eat the leaves. It’s kind of like spinach? The Japanese beetles beat me to them.

Your garden is magnificent. Thank you for sharing. I have a streak of bad luck with scarlet beans, so I haven’t had them in 2 years, but seeing yours makes me think I need to try again :)

Thank you! My spouse does the bulk of the work but I try to catch up with my contributions on the weekend.

The beans pictured are purple peacock, tongue of fire and some variety of green string I can’t recall right now… I do have Scarlet runner but they also aren’t doing so great lol 🫣 The other beings in the garden think they are too delicious as shoots…

I’m also growing pinto, chickpea, favs and lima.
