I’m finding myself getting interested in October Revolution’s history and its material context, that’s why I’m reading John Reed’s Ten Days That Shook The World to understand the history behind it. However, I come to the difficulty of finding the book that he mentioned he was working on, that is Kornilov to Brest-Litovsk, which could contain vital information about material conditions that gave rise to Kornilov coup attempt, the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk, etc.
I just found out that this book is not finished in time as he was unfortunately pass away in 1920. But I’m curious if there are any manuscripts out there that are available. Otherwise, I would like to ask you to recommend me authentic primary sources or, preferably, secondary sources in English that cover the range of topic Reed was intended to.
tl;dr: Recommend me primary sources or secondary sources in English that can replace Reed’s Kornilov to Brest-Litovsk if there are no manuscripts available.
