After Republican vice presidential pick J.D. Vance went viral last week for being extraordinarily awkward at a donut shop in Georgia, Democrat Tim Walz had to poke fun at him during a snack stop in Pennsylvania.
Pursuing sweets like whoopie pies and donuts at Cherry Hill Orchards in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Walz slid in a joke while speaking to voters.
“Look at me, I have no problem picking out donuts.”
One concern, are whoopie pies donuts? (He also bought apple cider donuts, so it’s all good in the end)
It was meant as “look at me, I can make decisions and choices without a problem, unlike some other guy that can’t even pick out a doughnut”.
I dunno, he didn’t even make hard eye contact with every employee and interrogate them about where they’ve been.
You’d think someone in the room would be like. Hey maybe we film at a more friendly donut shop. Lmao
I like to imagine they spent days going to every donut shop they could find and that was the best interaction they could get on film.
