Jfc thank god this game that came out on the PS4 got remastered for the PS5. Idk what I I would have done, it’s not like I can just put my HZD PS4 disc in my PS5 and play it or anything.

because AI is all the rage now, a buzzword making shareholders want to invest more, also PS5 pro PSSR is somehow AI based, OP probably wanted to make fun of PS5 pro capabilities of just generating higher FPS count and upscaling textures, i just wanted to top it off with “AI” buzzword, made it more funny in my eyes

DLSS and FSR are some of the best and most useful implementations of AI out there right now, I don’t know why you’re acting like it’s just some marketing gimmick buzzword.

As far as I know the current FSR doesn’t use AI (planned 4.0 will) anyway, I’m far from playing down any actual AI as a useful tool, but AI as a buzzword is pushed everywhere, fridges, toasters, washing machines

You’re right, I’m more familiar with DLSS and thought both used it, but still, just because other companies are using it that way doesn’t mean it’s inherently a buzzword in every context.

      It could be worse.

The Last of Us was released for the PlayStation 3 in June 2013 and The Last of Us Remastered was released for the PlayStation 4 in July 2014.

The difference being the PS4 wasn’t backwards compatible. The remaster was intended for people who hadn’t and couldn’t play the PS3 version.

PS5 is backwards compatible, making this a little more bullshit.

Why are Sony obsessed with remaking ps4 games? If you’re going to dip into an anyway established IP, why not choose one where we haven’t had a new game in forever. Like Jak, Sly etc.

PS5 is just a sad sad gen with PS4 still being the highlight. Just really highlights how lucky Sony is that Xbox totally botched their own IPs this gen.

Unironically the only real highlight PS5 brought to the table was adaptive triggers/haptic feedback on controllers.

This has to have been a situation where someone jokingly suggested remaking the game and higher-ups went with it.

People keep complaining how games are hard to make and timelines are skewed, but Sony has been pumping absolutely bangers with their remasters. We’ve already seen SpiderMan remastered, uncharted remastered, last of us 1 and 2 remastered, and now horizon and days gone remastered, all in 4 years. I literally can’t get enough of these single player games with infinite replayability.
