minus-squareteft@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up52·7 days agoNot just weight. It’s lack of exercise. I’m 41 and my knees and back are fine even after a stint in the army. Gotta keep using those muscles and joints if you want to use them when you’re older.

It is insane how degraded your ancillary muscles get from a sedentary lifestyle Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is also a really good full body workout
