A 16-year-old girl has been sentenced to 30 days of conditional imprisonment for praising Hamas’s attacks on Israel, according to Ritzau.

Under an article titled “Live: Israel attacked with missiles” on Ekstra Bladet’s Facebook page, the girl wrote: “Yass,” followed by a heart-eye emoji and the Palestinian flag.

The girl, who has family in the conflict-affected area, stated in Aalborg court that she had not read the article.

“I just wanted to show support for Palestine—meaning the civilians. I didn’t know Hamas was behind it,” she said in court.

She is considering whether to appeal the case to the high court.

There’s this game going on where people condemn hamas but celebrate palestinian resistance while ignoring that almost all of that is hamas. They’re separating the two in their head in order to hold both ideas simultaneously so they’re not “bad” for supporting hamas because everyone says that’s a bad thing.

This comes from a lack of people being willing to accept imperfect resistance, and also the exceptional power of the western media propaganda.

Yeah fair but this isn’t unique to the young ones, in fact I would argue that the younger people often have better views on the realities of resistance than many of the older

I mean, she’s also in a current legal battle for her future right now. I dunno about y’all but I’d sing whatever song my lawyer told me to. I don’t feel as though me standing by my beliefs in this situation would particularly benefit anyone.

Every lib loves to fellate themselves talking about “nuance” which is just a long winded way of saying “status quo good”

Real nuance is supporting Hamas. Real nuance is supporting Iran and Russia in their war agianst the US. The concept of critical support would give libs an aneurism.
