The Day of the Vara event ended about 19 hours ago, but I’ve still been able to find multiple dark bear helmets in red/green lootboxes on the crusader platforms.

I don’t think that these helmets will count towards the event, but if anyone still wants to grab a few before the next wipe, it looks like they’re still findable.
