Virgin Galactic is proposing to raise $300 million in additional capital to accelerate production of suborbital spaceplanes and a mothership aircraft the company says can fuel its long-term growth.
I thought they had enough of a war chest to ride out the flight stoppage, but I guess not. I don’t see it with them. Tourism flights and low capacity point to point doesn’t seem like enough to sustain a real company. Blue Origin can do it because they don’t need to make money.
Maybe they’ll con someone into it. Or pull an Astra, go private, and then con someone new.

Fair point. They did have a decent launch cadence in 2023, but their existing fleet was evidently not profitable enough.
