It seems a bunch of Lemmy instances are blocking image uploads for a while. Some bots have been uploading some very non-superb content.

I have fun trying to give you a photo a day, but ny Beehaw account can’t post here, and my sh.itjust.works posts here, but it only shows like 50 users so hardly anyone will see it if I’m understanding that.

I was going to take a break until they get it resolved, but if you guys are happy with links to interesting articles or just some random owl facts I can try to do that.

The user count is just showing the number of subs from the instance you’re on, not the total number who are seeing your posts. It’s a meaningless number that just causes confusion, imo.

Although I am ill and night have misread your post so if this is irrelevant info please forgive.

On lemmy.world it shows you have 1.06k subscribers, so you do have lots of interested eyeballs…I mean who doesn’t appreciate owls?

Yes, it’s been satisfying to see subs go up. The Reddit version always brought me a smile, so I was sad to see it here but sitting idle. I enjoy thinking it makes people smile. I’ve been having a rough month, so it gives me something to look forward to as well.

I’d love some owl facts. Or using something like imgur for the images? Just like old time reddit.

You can always upload the images externally and then link it.

catbox.moe seems to be the best right now, really simple to use and up to 200MB.

I see you uploaded one of your images to ImgBB, but it shows as a link instead of an image. To format it properly next time, you can select ‘BBCode full linked’ and copy the link it shows:

Screenshot showing BBCode full linked selected, and the longest link being highlighted.
