people just like having cars so they can uhhh kill anyone they want

the indoctrination of acceptance of the sheer amount of people who die from car related shit is insane and never fails to make me mad as fuck man

    well this is bleak

Vehicular homicide is bad and so is forcing people work and drive in their late 60s stocking shelves on night shift just to pay off debts

Car companies have been lobbying the US government for decades to turn the country into a car-dependent shithole. They are still fucking lobbying to the point where the US government is seriously considering “TURN EVERYTHING ON THE ROAD INTO SELF-DRIVING UBER” as a strategy for the future instead of investing in public transport. The “people” at the highest levels of power do not give a shit about human beings and have made life into a hell because their corrupt asses couldn’t resist Ford’s moolah in return for allowing the latest mcmansion colony to be built over 9000km away from any public transport.

Auto deaths are social murder. People look at me cock eyeed when I explain this, but I find this to be one of the least divisive, most radicalizing breakthroughs you can have for libs and chuds equally.

I find it incredibly difficult to convince people not to like cars even if i can counter every single justification for it the argument basically ends with “but i want to drive” while demonstrably hating every minute of it.

i hate owning a car. I gotta get the oil changed every 10,000 miles and it would take me 4 hours to get to work and then 4 hours to get home from work if I didnt have a car and then I gotta spend the money I made at work to buy gas and make sure my car dosent explode on my way to work ever 3 years. i dont want to run anyone over, i dont want to get road rage and resort to honking a bike horn out my window at hoopleheads.

tfw the economy is so fucked that its becoming more “pay to work” instead of “work for pay”

I’ve been reflecting on how much carbrained infrastructure is in effect just downloading the costs of transport and infrastructure to individual people. Instead of governments paying to maintain public transport, they’ve colluded with car companies and such to convince people to have to pay their own way around.
