I will not unwrap gifts given to me by people who voted for a party that has talked about building internment camps and mass deportation

You’re going to have to be more specific.

        BECAUSE CHEETO WORSE

Trump is such a weather vane that this statement literally means nothing until it actually happens. Biden actually did it. Trump just talks shit. Trump talks about a lot of different shit. Remember how he was supposed to build a wall? Remember how Harris gloated about how the Biden admin had to actually build that wall in some areas?

Trumps incompetency is literally the biggest reason that people shouldn’t forgive Democrats from taking on his positions. They actually did these things in a competent way. Trump fumbled the bag. That actually makes him better on these points.

Frankly it’s odd that somebody who’d be so bothered by this this is only starting to care now. I have chud relatives that I refuse to talk to but it’s been that way for years at this point. Like if I was married to a Trump supporter I’d have gotten a divorce before 2016 lol.

Some people get off on the drama of it, like this writer seems to. The husband, if we are to judge by the story, is used to her throwing a tantrum and then cooling off, which will likely be the case here again. His entire demeanour which she describes throughout the text is just waiting for her to calm down like she is a sulking child, which she sees as deep empathy. The only concession he made was not forcing her to go to the Christmas celebration (for now), bringing her a cup of coffee and saying sorry (while not doing the actual thing she asked).

The fact she quotes a line from Kamala’s concession speech means she’s the kind of lib that doesn’t actually care.

Can you imagine in a race between Mengele and Hitler to have someone quote some pithy line from Mengele’s concession speech? It doesn’t exactly reflect someone who believes they’re voting for a lesser evil.

I just don’t understand how people are in relationships where you have such fundamentally incompatible worldviews. Why be with someone who sees the world through a lens of bigotry and hate when you yourself claim not to be bigoted? Why be with a reactionary if you despise reactionaries? I can’t make it make sense, couldn’t be me

Later that night, I briefly glanced at my husband and found myself not wanting to look into the eyes I love. I hated this divide. I wanted to touch his forearms and feel our connection, but I also felt an urge to punish him and deny him my touch.

I’m glad you know so much about my life and how the government i don’t control affects my life. I’m aware of the terrible things we’ve done abroad and i didn’t negate that, but it doesn’t erase the harm that most of our population also experiences. especially if you are multiple minorities like me.

Pff. Not for the crackers, it’s straight up Wonka’s Factory for those mfs. They couldn’t handle 1/1000th of the fascism the people they elect inflict on the section 8’s; and that’s where the lash-out is coming from. Because it’s coming for them now too.

I guess this is in line with the fantasy that the massive bloc of battered-wife voters would swing the election by secretly voting Kamala. Now the next 4 years is gonna be worthless articles about how their maga relatives are so sad the author wont spend time with them.

Americans really need to embrace Canadian Thanksgiving. Middle of October. It kicks off haloween time, it’s not right after your elections. It would save lives.

her name is sus but this is justifiable actually, liberals are a threat to humanity but conservatives are a personal threat even if you’re mayo. it’s just self preservation
