Do you know what everyone who didn’t vote would have been a vote for Harris? Harris preformed similarly or better than Biden in the swing states, Trump just got even more votes than 2020 Biden.

The idea that they would be Trump voters instead would not improve my moral judgment of abstainers.

I wasn’t suggesting it should. Your comment seems to imply that if more people voted Trump wouldn’t have won. I’m asking how you can possibly know who those people would have voted for, particularly in the only states that actually matter in the presidential race, the swing states.

“Thanks everyone who didn’t vote for Harris” better for you?

I assumed that people would understand that “abstainers” was here to emphasize that those who abstained from voting also brought fascism to America, as compared to Trump voters, who we all already know are guilty for bringing fascism to America, but apparently that’s too complex to parse.

And everyone who stood aside and said “This is fine, I’m not going to do anything to stop it.”

Inaction is not absolution, as much as some people wish it was.
