I feel like it was part of the author’s checklist on how she wanted to see a lesbian romance properly potraited, including not idealizing it: more than one relationship, jealousy (if she turns against her by jealousy) or absence of it (VI doesn’t care), betrayal or malevolent seduction (if she was a Noxus agent from the beginning).
