Summary

The IAEA warned that Iran is “dramatically increasing” uranium enrichment to 60% purity, nearing weapons-grade levels, with production expected to rise from 4.7 kg to over 34 kg per month.

IAEA chief Rafael Grossi called on Iran to provide credible assurances that its facilities are not being used for nuclear weapons production.

The move has drawn international criticism, including from Germany, which labeled it a significant escalation.

On the same day, Iran launched its heaviest satellite payload, raising concerns over the dual-use potential of its space technology for ballistic missiles.
