Depends on the auth left person. Some auth left people think that trans people (no, not discussion about trans people, but the idea of transgenderism itself) are a ploy by the bourgeoisie to distract people from the class war.
I’ve definitely seen both that and more gruesome takes from some self-proclaimed leftists, typically of the ML or MLM variety. But 👏MORE👏TRANS👏FRIENDLY👏GULAGS👏 is funnier (and tbh probably the more common position).
It does seem that the discussion (not transgenderism itself) is pretty convenient for distracting people and has been heavily leveraged.
Yes but at the same time if you care about the wellbeing of working class people, you can’t really stop talking about it.
