Got it for free in a - i presume - rather rock-bottom state and now it is finally in bloom again! So happy rn

    watered them every other week, fertilized (lightly!) maybe once a year and exercised patience - no tricks.

      A big thing people skip (sorry OP, seems you did too) is using a transparent flower pot. The reason being that the roots also need light. I’ve had an orchid exactly like OP’s going on 5 years, and it sprouts flowers twice per year. In fact, it is beginning a new flowing cycle now.

          Humidity helps too. Also lower temperatures at night can trigger blooming. Mine always bloomed in January/February.

          I no longer have these, but they were in a large aquarium to keep up the humidity.
