I wish I had played this game sooner. Don’t spoil anything, but is there something I should DEFINITELY do?
I love you all
Keep one skill point in reserve so you don’t softlock yourself
No spoilers, but a general observation. The game was written by communists so the communist content is written as introspective self-critique, both funny and sad, and you can feel where the writers are coming from.
I have more to say, but it veers into spoilers so I’ll save it for the future. The game is unironically so well written that it’s worth mentally engaging with nearly everything anyone says. Enjoy your time with it!
make friends with this wierdo

Make sure that when the bar owner tries to get you to pay for damages at the start that you say “fuck you” and run away.
Failing that check made me fall in love with the game
don’t be afraid to savescum! but also, don’t be afraid to lose checks! …that’s counterintuitive, sorry.
what i’m trying to say here is that you should go crazy, talk to everyone, make a beat and hit a little jig, find some bugs, have some fun! (as long as that fun doesn’t involve alcohol)
Read theory
Also don’t be afraid to do stupid shit
A real Life Motto right there.
Evrart Claire is helping you find your gun
Mr. Evrart is helping me find my gun
Save the game frequently… That’s all I have to say
Failing checks is fine, and you might get to see some very interesting things from failing checks, so don’t feel bad if you do.
The communist arc is the best one. Some amazing quotes.
Make sure to go to the church once it becomes available.
I am doing my best to get the rave started
do your reading before going to the communist meeting
white checks can be repeated but red ones cannot, so feel free to FAFO with the red ones
Wait, there’s READING?
It’s not really a book club or anything but yes
yea in-game books board games comics all kinds of shit, the worldbuilding is amazing
seek the bookstore, take care of the child outside

at some point you will encounter a payphone on a beach. keep interacting with it until you can’t
You should DEFINITELY seek out the communism side quest. I think it appears in your journal as something like “make contact with your fellow communists”? There are a few people who will point you towards the event I’m talking about that are missable if you rush through the investigation.
If a piece of your clothing starts talking, buying the spirits from the drunk in the fishing village is an absolute must, but only for 3 reál, not 300 reál.
