Yes … damn auto correct is completely screwed up because it keeps correcting what is correct but has a hard time applying my own corrections … when I’m typing on my phone, I’m starting to spend more time correcting my own copy because auto correct keeps messing up my text.

If you long press on a suggestion you can tell your phone that it’s stupid, and it will slowly learn to be less stupid.

Basically, your keyboard tries to learn your habits and if you use a slightly misspelled word often it’ll think you’re doing it on purpose. You have to tell it that you’re human

turn it off? i’ve had autocorrect disabled for years, and manually tapping the little autocorrect suggestions works just fine for me.

I don’t know why I never thought of that … I just turned off a bunch of settings for ‘auto text’ ‘predictive text’ ‘ai assist’ … I like using swipe keyboards for typing out things on my phone … it’s a lot easier and more discreet than using voice transcription (which I use sometimes when I’m in a quiet space) … turned off all those extra settings and now it seems to be working fine.

            BTW … thanks for that
