Very strange for him. No couchs to fuck there, then why go? Also wonder just how tight security will be?

WARREN, Vt. — Here in the Mad River Valley, where the Trump administration is about as popular as a rainstorm on the slopes at Sugarbush, news that Vice President JD Vance was coming for a ski weekend was greeted with surprise more than derision.

Not that there isn’t plenty of derision. Activists have planned protests in Warren and neighboring Waitsfield. Local social media sites are chockful of bitter recriminations, saying Vance is not welcome here because of the administration’s policies against DEI and the mass firings at various federal agencies, among other reasons.

But for many locals, the idea of Vance coming to the state that not only rejected the Trump/Vance ticket by the widest margin, but to an especially liberal part of the state where the administration is wildly unpopular, doesn’t add up.

    “I hope Vermonters remember the vice president is here on a family trip with his young children and, while we may not always agree, we should be respectful,” he said.

    And I hope Vermonters keep it real and pelt that giant douche with dog shit and rotten eggs because that’s as much respect as he deserves whether with his children or alone.

        Honestly I suspect he wants others to get upset and be “disrespectful” just so he can use it as further proof that those who disagree with him are all horrible people, and that he is therefore better than them.

          Yeah, see the temper tantrum he threw during the meeting with Zelensky. They were just desperate to get a rise out of him, and they couldn’t even manage that.

      Yeah, let him explain to his kids why people hate him. There’s a chance they’ll sense his duplicity. If they feel unsafe with him, we’ll, they should.

      Yeah, now that eggs are so cheap and all (went to the grocery yesterday and they’re rationed here). I haven’t checked dog shit prices but that’s too good for him anyway.

      The president and vice president positions are not 9 to 5 jobs. They are in that roll at all times.
