Summary

The Pennsylvania attorney representing Luigi Mangione, charged with murdering UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in New York City, contends Mangione’s arrest in Altoona was unconstitutional.

Officers supposedly approached him without cause and failed to read his Miranda rights at a McDonald’s after a five-day manhunt.

Mangione has pleaded not guilty to murder and related state and federal charges, including potential death penalty eligibility.

Mangione’s New York lawyer likewise cites constitutional violations during arrest, raising the possibility that key evidence could be suppressed.

We actually haven’t even given Democrats 50 in about a decade. After the 111th congress they had 53 and we’ve given them less than that every election since. They had caucusing independents for 50 and a VP tiebreaker just to get majority in 2020, meaning they literally didn’t even outnumber the GOP even with independents on their side. The ACA did NOT pass via Reconciliation. It passed with 60 votes after the concessions and negotiations.

In fact, from 2011 to 2021 there were congressional rules enacted by republicans against any reconciliation votes on medicaid, medicare, food stamps, farms, etc.

The fact of the matter is people aren’t supporting the DNC, such as yourself, and that is the reason why we aren’t getting universal healthcare.

The argument you’re making is exactly the sort of both-sides-bad content that Tankies are placing their bets on and the reason they’re supporting Luigi Mangione content.

They had enough to pass legislation without a single republican vote. Stop splitting hairs.

The fact of the matter is people aren’t supporting the DNC, such as yourself

The fact is you support them onlo so long as they DON’T do anything to constrain the insurance industry.

Yes, everyone to the left of netanyahu is a tankie. Anything to keep you and the insurers on the same side. You just want to keep the same status quo that keeps exploiting people to death with no criticism whatsoever.

Just going to gloss over how I caught you in an outright lie about how the ACA passed and the restrictions on reconciliation?

I was mistaken. Its companion legislation passed via reconciliation.

At least the public option died because your vp nominee killed it for you, with the help of Senator Ben Nelson, also a democrat so you can’t pretend that only independents hate patients and want them to go bankrupt and die.

But you will anyway. Just like you pretend that Democrats never have a majority because then you don’t have to expect anything from them.

The Universal Healthcare vote lost by 1 independent vote, Joe Lieberman. Nelson broke the 60 needed for the final watered down version of the bill to pass. Why are you such a dirty liar?

During the initial vote they got 59. Every Democrat. Do you want me to link you to Congress dot gov? Lieberman was the holdout.

Nelson threatened to filibuster if the bill contained the public option. Guess Ezra Klein’s a liar too, just like anyone who isn’t on the side of you and the insurance industry.

Sure, maybe he did threaten, but at the end of the day he voted for that bill and Joe Lieberman voted against it.

You can bullshit all you want but you can’t erase history of the vote. It’s public for all to see that Every Single Democrat voted for the singlepayer bill, Every Single Republican voted against it, and an Independent killed it.
