    AI designed to detect communication have confirmed once and for all that dolphins have experience with language, with a dictionary of their communications currently in progress. Probably was the reasoning behind the most fun question serial that was touched upon by the Q&A community before, you know, the initiator was banned from it for verifiably untrue reasons and had to pass the torch. RIP our own little Dr. Dolittle.

          It depends on what you mean by “similar to humans”. There are levels to communication and we already know they’re quite far up the hierarchy, even if not on the same level as us.

        There are so many. The question isn’t where are the sources at this point, it’s where aren’t they? I would encourage looking it up even if only for that reason.

        Yeah, we recorded it using its species’ greeting system and it went out of its way to come to the researchers to say hi.
