The red glowing portions in the brain scan is dopamine. Notice how cocaine and sugar ‘addicts’ don’t have these portions

      https://possible.in/what-is-the-biggest-addiction-in-the-world-sugar-addiction.html

Tldr: sugar is more addictive than cocaine

        Nonsense. link

Not to mention that the actual “scans” here are fake. There is no way to measure dopamine distribution in the brain like that. Also, both pictures are the same but were edited.

You sound like a real sugar addict

It’s quite a complex theme with no clear answer.

Does that mean that if I’ve never succumbed to sugar addiction despite having access to plenty of sugary foods, I can safely use recreational cocaine without worrying about it destroying my life? I’ve always avoided it whenever I did have access to it, because I’ve heard too many horror stories about it destroying people.

That’s wise advice. I figured they were wrong saying that sugar is more addictive than cocaine. That sounds like something someone who’s never tried cocaine would say.
